To create a strong video that shows off the different floral ingredients of the fragrances
I was given an opportunity to work on this project solo from start to finish. The client was looking to expand the marketing campaign of Thalia's new fragrance collection by creating more dynamic video content.
Working to a tight deadline of just 3 weeks, I was able to take this project from scratch and create an engaging commercial for the product.
I used the reference footage above and orthographic drawings to model and shade the bottle asset.
Getting the grooves into the shape was the tricky part. It was achieved by building the base shape of the bottle first, then creating curves that followed the design. These curves were extruded and with a boolean the lines were cut out of the base shape. A final smooth was applied to soften the edges of the cut.
Bottle Look Development
The client was looking for a way to show the floral ingredients for each fragrance, and combine it with the gemstone theme.
This gemstone to flower effect was made procedurally so that it could be used across all five fragrances.
